WatotoSafe is designed around one simple idea: the parent sets the boundaries first, then the child uses the shared phone inside those boundaries.

Install WatotoSafe

Install WatotoSafe on the Android phone that will be shared with your child.

Parent Sharing Mode runs on the parent's phone.

No separate child phone is required.

Create your Parent PIN

Create a 6-digit Parent PIN to keep parent controls protected. This PIN is used when returning to parent-only areas.

PIN verification stays local on the device.

Forgot PIN can use Android device-owner authentication.

Add a child profile

Create a local profile for the child who will use the phone. Profiles make it easier to keep sessions organised.

Choose a child avatar.

Multiple local child profiles can be created.

Choose the protection

Before starting the session, decide how the child can use the shared phone.

Set the screen-time duration.

Choose allowed apps.

Apply website categories or individual blocks.

Start protected screen time

Start the child session and hand over the phone. WatotoSafe immediately returns the parent area to a locked state.

Child stays within the protection selected by the parent.

During screen time

The rules stay active while the child uses the phone.

Returning to parent mode

Parent controls stay behind the PIN.

When the parent needs to change settings or end the child session, WatotoSafe requests the Parent PIN before returning to parent-only controls.

Child sessions do not expose the parent Home or Settings.
